FAQ
Recruitment FAQ
Q. What is the recruitment process and duration?
The process varies by role.
For full-time positions, the standard procedure is:
Application Screening → (If required) Task Assessment → Skills Interview → Culture Interview → Final Interview → Final Result.
Feedback is usually provided within one week per stage. The entire process typically takes 4–5 weeks.
Q. Who reviews my application?
Applications are reviewed directly by the hiring manager for the position.
Please provide sufficient details to demonstrate your skills and experience.
Q. When should graduating students apply?
Consider the recruitment duration when applying. Upstage does not allow balancing work with ongoing studies.
We recommend applying approximately two months before your intended start date.
Q. How does the internship process differ? Can it be combined with studies?
Intern results are provided after the Culture Interview.
For full-time conversion internships, a Final Interview is conducted after the internship.
Upstage does not allow combining internship work with ongoing studies.
Q. What is the work arrangement—fully remote or hybrid?
Upstage follows the AOEBT (Anywhere On Earth But Together) model, allowing work from any efficient location.
Some roles requiring domestic client support may limit long-term overseas work.
Q. Can I apply for multiple roles?
Yes, applications to multiple roles are allowed. Results are communicated separately for each role.
Q. Where can I learn about Upstage’s culture?
Upstage operates based on autonomy and trust.
All actions follow the Upstage Way. Please visit our Culture page for details.
Q. Are interviews online? What is the dress code?
All interviews are conducted via Google Meet. Ensure a quiet environment. There is no formal dress code.
Q. Will I receive feedback if not selected? Can I reapply?
All applicants receive result notifications. Reapplication for the same role requires a six-month interval, but you may apply immediately for different roles.
