Meet the story of the Enterprise Business Solution team, which delivers Upstage’s proprietary technologies and solutions to enterprise customers while working closest to them, guided by the vision that “our customers’ success is our success.”

Based on the vision “our customers’ success is our success,” the Enterprise Business Solution team delivers Upstage’s proprietary 
technologies and solutions to enterprise customers. Working closely with customers through strong partnerships, the team has been 
receiving increasing interest from companies across various industries—particularly this year—thanks to Upstage’s technology 
leadership represented by Solar LLM and Document AI, as well as the valuable experience accumulated through customer LTV cycles.

Even in their busy schedules, the Enterprise Business Solution team acts as the lubricant that keeps collaboration smooth between 
customers and Upstage. We met Minchan Kwon and Jaehee Yoo, Solution Managers on the team, to hear more about the sincerity 
behind Upstage’s approach to winning customer trust.

Q. Hello! Please introduce yourselves.

Minchan: Hello, I’m Minchan, the leader of the AI Solution Manager team at Upstage. 
Previously, I built my career at tech companies and financial institutions, and it has been about ten months since I joined Upstage.


Jaehee: Hello, I’m Jaehee, a PM working in the AI Solution Manager team at Upstage. 
As a project manager for various projects, I focus on successfully delivering Upstage’s solutions to our customers.

AI Solution Manager

Q. What does a Solution Manager do?

Minchan: At Upstage, AI Solution Managers perform a wide range of roles.

First, we lead communication with customers. Successfully executing a project starts with accurately understanding the customer’s 
problems and requirements, and it is equally important to maintain effective communication throughout every stage of the project. 
We manage all communication—including weekly meetings and final reports—so that the customer’s voice is properly reflected in the project.

Second, we establish and execute strategic project plans as project managers. This includes setting project goals, defining the scope of work, and allocating the necessary resources. We continuously monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed. We also oversee testing and quality assurance activities to ensure product quality.

Lastly, we coordinate collaboration within the team. By working closely with various team members, we assign roles, align efforts 
toward project goals, and identify the best solutions to meet customer requirements.

Through these roles, we strive to ensure the successful execution of projects and achieve high customer satisfaction.


Q. Could you share a memorable success story from your experience as a Solution 
Manager at Upstage?

Minchan: One of the most memorable successes was completing a very challenging project that began at a time when Upstage was 
not yet widely known. The project was initiated based solely on trust in our technical capabilities.

Despite many challenges and difficulties, we ultimately developed a model that exceeded the customer’s performance expectations 
and achieved outstanding results. As a result, the customer’s 담당자는 received recognition within their organization and even won an 
innovation award.

From this experience, we learned an important lesson: our customers’ success truly becomes our success. Seeing customers achieve real innovation through our solutions—and receive recognition for it—reminded us that customer satisfaction must always come first.

This experience also reinforced the value of Upstage’s products and became an important foundation for long-term business 
opportunities.


Jaehee: For me, the most memorable moments come after a project ends—when we receive positive feedback from customers.

Hearing that our solutions have improved their work efficiency and helped them achieve their business goals gives me a strong sense of fulfillment and pride. It is especially meaningful to realize that Upstage’s solutions can contribute directly to our customers’ business growth.

Q. 솔루션을 개발하고 제공하는 과정에서 가장 어려운 도전은 무엇인가요?

Minchan:  One of the most challenging aspects is keeping up with the technical complexity and rapidly evolving trends in AI 
technology. AI is advancing extremely quickly. Integrating the latest technologies into projects while simultaneously ensuring stability 
and performance requires considerable effort.

To address this, I focus on balancing customer expectations with the technical constraints of the project. It can sometimes be difficult to meet all customer requirements while delivering solutions that are both realistic and sustainable.

Therefore, I place strong emphasis on transparent communication and expectation management. By working closely with customers, we clarify their requirements and set realistic expectations for what can be achieved. We also try to proactively identify potential 
issues and actively seek solutions so that projects can proceed successfully.


Jaehee: I also believe the rapid pace of AI advancement is one of the biggest challenges.

To overcome this, I personally continue to study AI technologies. Since I do not have a background as a developer, I make a consistent effort to deepen my understanding of AI. Whenever I encounter areas I’m unfamiliar with, I also seek advice and insights from other 
Upstage team members.

Through these efforts, I aim to continuously improve my knowledge and understanding of AI technologies and solution development.

Q. How satisfied are customers with Upstage’s AI products in the field?

Minchan: Customer satisfaction with Upstage’s AI products is very high.

Based on the feedback we receive in the field, the greatest strength of our products is the accuracy of our models. Compared to other solutions, our AI models demonstrate outstanding performance, which is one of the main reasons customers trust Upstage.

In addition, we focus not only on short-term results but also on delivering sustainable models so that customers can experience stable performance in the long term. This sustainability ensures consistent results even as business environments change, and it plays an 
important role in building long-term partnerships with our customers.


Jaehee: This is actually one of the reasons why I feel joining Upstage was such a great decision.

In fact, almost every customer who has adopted our solutions has expressed satisfaction and mentioned that our technology has 
significantly improved their operational efficiency.

One example is a customer I worked with on an AI OCR project. Previously, they had to manually review and input large volumes of 
incoming documents, which required significant effort. Because the document templates varied widely, traditional rule-based OCR 
solutions struggled to process them effectively. However, with Upstage’s Document AI solution, we were able to solve this challenge. 
As a result, approximately 90% of incoming documents are now processed automatically, leading to substantial improvements in 
efficiency.

Q. What goals do you have for the future?

Minchan: As a Solution Manager, I have two main goals.

First, I want to support the professional growth of our team members internally. 
As Upstage expands its AI business across various fields, the role of AI Solution Managers is becoming increasingly important. 
As a team leader, I aim to mentor team members and provide them with the resources and learning opportunities they need to grow 
within their respective areas of expertise.

My second goal is to help accelerate Upstage’s expansion into global markets. Building on our success in the domestic market, I want 
to develop the capabilities needed to compete and be recognized globally. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to expanding Upstage’s 
international business and introducing our AI solutions to customers worldwide.

Jaehee: I strongly believe that Upstage possesses world-class technology in areas such as AI OCR and LLM models, and that it is 
growing into a global technology company.

As an AI Solution Manager at Upstage, I hope to grow into a professional who can solve problems for companies not only in Korea but also globally, across various domains such as finance, manufacturing, and logistics.

By tailoring solutions to each customer’s business environment and improving operational efficiency and productivity, I want to help 
showcase the value of Upstage’s solutions worldwide and contribute to the company’s continued growth.

Second, project management capabilities are indispensable. Skills such as goal setting, schedule management, and resource 
allocation are crucial for ensuring projects run smoothly and achieve their objectives.

Lastly, an understanding of AI technologies and the ability to continuously learn are also important. Since the AI field evolves rapidly, 
Solution Managers need the flexibility and openness to continuously learn new technologies and apply them to projects.

Q. Any final message for prospective applicants?
